I didn’t know Collin. Not really anyway. But my friends constantly talked about him. About how funny he was, about how gifted he was, about what an absolute gem of a person he was.
I also know that he loved snakes. And reptiles in general. Today I handled a snake for the first time. And when I say handled, I touched the last inch of its body with one finger and screamed about 2 seconds into it.
Collin, I did not have the pleasure of knowing you. But I thank you, and I thank God that so many of my friends had the opportunity to have you as a friend. Thank you God for allowing this world to see such a wonderful, beautiful person. And even though he left this world all too soon, I am just so thankful that he was able to share his light with this world for the nineteen years he was on it.
Rest in peace, Collin.
